So the wife and I enjoyed the dove opener today. Got 12 morning dove and 2 Mexican banded dove ( no offense). #7 hi brass brought then home.
NO KILLDEER WERE HARMED !!!
You have to look close for the Mexican Banded doves in the back of the pic. They seem to be in the shadows.
Thanks to the little bird who told us where the baited field was, you know who you are.

Every day is a holiday and every meal is a picnic.
I feel like I need to explain myself about this post. It was written tongue in cheek. The reports on this site have gotten so vague I figured to take it over the top.
I understand why folks have been tighter than fish eyes in regards to info of where, when and how the fish were caught. It has been a couple tough years on the big four. Three years ago when the wife and I started fishing again it was a stellar year at Sardis. Folks were posting pics of limits and giving all sorts of info short of gps coordinates.
To those who, like us are starting out and are looking for help in techniques areas and general help. My recommendation would be to start coming to some of the MS C.C events. Even if you just come to weigh ins and picnics you will make friends... good friends who will be glad to help you one on one.
As for my report from saturday. The wife and I fished Grenada for the first time. We had no clue as to where, fow or crank colors to use. A good friend that we met at weigh ins and picnics put us on them. I mean x marks the spot accuracy.
We were fishing 20-30 fow and blue bubblegum and chrome pattern bandits 300s got the fish.
As for the bird who put us on the fish, he can tell you I don't think it is my place.
Hopefully we will see.you at the fall picnic at Enid.
