I had a Crestliner V1650 Fishhawk before my Lund. It was a great boat. The only reason I sold it was someone wanted it more than me and I really wanted a 4 stroke.

Is it a VT model (semi-vee) or a true vee model???
The vee is harder to control in wind if using the trolling motor because of a higher profile. Something to think about.
Nothing wrong with Crestliner boats though.

The fishing is always great. The catching varies.

Well I looked at the crestliner and they are a very nice boat for the money I really liked the slide track system but they had a G3 talon that I have to pick up next week been looking at the aluminum boats since I blew the motor on my old procraft back in May I think the G3 will be a good fit

Seen that boat on the website, pretty sweet the Yamaha 4 stroke will be nice. I'll be looking at the VT 18 if I decide to buy a new boat. I really like the channel frame trailer on the Rangers

If I could afford it I would have an RT 188.
$25000 new with the Merc 115 4 stroke.
I just want to go fishing.

I hear you pecmike it is crazy how much new boats cost. I do like to buy cars and boats new only if I use them. I bought my boat brand new almost 12 years ago and it was the best material investment I have ever made, but I fish a lot. And tink that is a sweet boat you picked up.

I agree, new is the way to go. I bought my '93 Champion and a '93 GMC Sierra back in '93 (22 years ago). $36000 total back then (choke). But I was into bass fishing BIG.
I still have the Champion and it still looks like new. Drove the GMC to 300000 and sold it, I still see it around, best truck I ever had.
But $25000 for an aluminum boat is scary.
