    Default Big Lake 8-26-15

Me and my dad made a trip to Big Lake on Thursday. We ended up the day doing pretty well.
    Picture of the sun rise.

Dad enjoying getting to do some fishing.

    It paid off too!

I managed to catch one too!

Decided to stop on the way back in and head the shrimp. This guy seemed to really enjoy it.

Managed to catch a speck too. Finished off the Cajun grand slam but only the flounders were big enough to keep.

    Total bounty on flounder

And the crabs from the trip

    Some of these were huge!

And last but not least, the shrimp!

It's still a little early for the flounder run but we did catch them in the same places I did last year so who knows?! It should only get better from here!

Flounder stuffed with crab meat bathed in a shrimp sauce. Whoa daddy. Ring the dinner bell.

You said Big Lake but it sure looks small with all those boats in that one spot. I guess that's a honey hole.

I was thinking that too Gene.... a lot of boats in one spot. And those are some big crabs too! I think the dinner suggestion should be put on the menu for D'bone Friday night potluck.

Congrats on a good trip Dwyane!

Gene and Scott, we were actually in the marsh behind a wier in Big Lake. And yes the shrimp all seemed to be concentrated in one spot and that is why all the boats were in the same spot. I think dad counted 18 at one time! It's just like sac au lait fishing.......Find the boats and you find the fish/shrimp! lol
