    Default Green 8-28

Fished Green Friday. Downscan had clutter around 30' at Butler area. Caught 13 crappie and 2 channels with the specks still on (yum yum). Caught fish from 14-22' deep. Had a real good average. 4 @ 10.5-11.5", the rest went from 12-13.5". It seemed the closer to the channel you got the better the fish were. The flat on the east side of Butler point was full of fish, and fisherman too. Lol.

Been that way for awhile, now (that's where I caught my fish, last time I was there). Locals call that point "Corbins Bend" .... named for the road that runs along the southern part of that peninsula (between Butler Creek & the main lake U curve from Holmes Bend Marina).

I'd almost bet there were a couple of boats trolling cranks in that area ... likely Green River Lake Slabanator club members (& Crappie.com members)

Yes there was. And I was one of them! Haha. I found my best ones off the beaten path but right where I have caught them in previous years.

I bet Slabeye & T_Slabseeker have caught or sore-mouthed most all the good ones from the "beaten path" area, so going to new water areas was probably a good move.

Were they showing a preference to any particular color ??

Pink or light blue or orange or purple. I paint my own baits but a combo of those colors seem to be hot. I may go back tomorrow after I get done working.
