Default Clarks Hill is getting tough

I just knew that with the overcast, hardly no wind, low temps and three of the GA trollers that we would tear them up today. Well the Hill didn't think so. We fished the GA little river area all day and out of three boats we may have had 15 keepers. The good news is Fall is in the air and hopefully only a few more weeks away before the water temp drops below 80. Hopefully my next report will be full of CRAPpies.

At least you did not get a hook stuck in your finger! That was the highlight of my trip to Baker Creek last week. Did y'all fish any in Baker Creek?

I was on the Hill yesterday early and caught 22 on brush in 25 fow. THey were biting minnows fished down about 12 ft. I looked with my aqua vu and they are stacked up on the brush, just not feeding all the time. I went back yesterday afternoon, only caught 2. Plenty of fish there, just werent' biting.

I fished Baker creek a couple weeks ago and nothing. Caught a few small ones above Buffalo creek near bridge, tons of bait in that area.

I had poor luck also as I posted earlier. Butch always says find the bait and you will find the fish. In retrospect I should have ridden and looked until I found bait fish, because I did not see any balls of bait in Baker Creek. I saw several brush piles and the only crappie I caught was around one of the piles I trolled past. I think Inkdabber was correct when he suggested I should have fished the brush piles instead of long lining.
