This is what I think of on August 29 every year. The good: My oldest grandson was born on the 28th. He spent his first few days in the hospital thanks to Katrina. Worked out good as electricity was out at their home. The bad:1. Katrina of course. What a sad response. 2. My best fishing buddy of all time, my first mother in law, would have been 95 today. She has been gone 23 years and I think of her often. Man she loved to fish. And packed a good breakfast and lunch. 3. My best friend in my life passed on this day 8 years ago. My sister was 15 years older than me and loved me like I was hers. I was told she put me in her bed and just watched me every night for my first 4 months. And spoiled me from then on. I talked to her everyday and wish I could call her right now.
