Couldn't have asked for much nicer day for late August to be on the water chasin crappie, the mourning started 70 degrees with a lite shower that broke to clouds and a lite breeze , buy 9:00 am we had went through our first pound of minnows and my buddy was gettin the full spider bite workout, Lol !! As the sun finally began to break through the clouds the bite had slowed dramatically, but by mid day we had used up a second lb of minnows and kept 40 nice fish, we were pushing single minnow rigs with minnow critters , anything pink seemed to be best, fish were shallower than the past few trips probably due to cooler water temps, 6-7.5 fow fishing 5ft deep , we must have caught nearly 200 fish and probably could have caught a few hundred more , great trip with great friend!!!![]()
