    Default Monroe this morning.

Woke up and went outside. Clear skies and no wind. Hmmm finish staining and sealing deck or go fishing? Got on the water 7:30 and water temp was 83.1. Picked up 2 small guys while trying to get all lines out. Looking promising. Water quality looked great for this early, saw more baitfish today than all last fall. Lots of activity going on, very fishy looking early this year. Only managed 2 more small fish and a pile of gar. I belive you retired fellas might could get a few if your on the water and fishing before daylight. Think I caught the very end of the bite. Water temp at 10:00 was 85.3. Thinking maybe next Saturday i possibly will be launching around 5:30 and give em a poke again.

No minners in me boat! Straight pullin jigs. Seen all the bait between the pyrimid and north shore manatee zone and the beachball to stone island. Huge school of stripers were at the #1 manatee marker at stone island.

Huntinslabs.... thanks for the report. It's just around the corner, right?

Terry and I are in Kansas City, Missouri and haven't been fishing or even on the water in a couple of months. We didn't bring the boat with us this summer so we are fishing deprived. Getting the itching for the fall crappie fishing back home where you all are. We did at least go to Smithfield Lake Reservoir here on the edge of Kansas City for a picnic this past Sunday so that we could see some water and watch all the water activities... lol. We saw people fishing in the trees, dock shooting, skiing, tubing, sailing. We will be back to Florida in mid to late October and then it's on! Fishing, shrimping, crabbing.... bring it on! We are missing the Mangrove Snapper season right now but gotta make a livin somehow.

Haven't been to this site as much, but happy to get here and read the posts and catch up!
