Default Hey Gang! I'm still here...update and catching up....pics and more!!!!

Shout out to all my "Crappie Peeps"! I hope you all have had as wonderful summer as I have so far, and I know we are all looking forward to the cooler temps, D'Arbonne Gathering 2015, and so much more. This is just an update and a chance to share some crappie information with you all, a little catching up so to say! I have already been in contact with Doc several times, Shadow, State Park officials, etc. and like so many others here planning for another great year at our longest running gathering here in Louisiana!

I have had a very busy and blessed year! This was the 2nd successful season for the Bayou State Crappie Association, and our 1st ever Championship will be coming up end of October! The 3rd season is in planning right now. During 2015, we had many great events of growth. 1st annual King of Kings event held on D'Arbonne, Fishing with Veterans event, Crappie Masters, all of which we are very proud to have been a part. I am very happy to say that each of these events will return for 2016 even bigger and better. I have already attended planning meetings and work is underway! Such awesome memories and great moments during these events, fishing the Crappie Masters event with my oldest daughter being the highlight of it all, it was a special day for me I will never forget...we didn't win or place but it was something that she and I could share and enjoy that is all our own.

Also during 2015 we filmed an additional show with Host Russ Bailey of BrushPile Fishing and that show is available to watch online at NKT.tv just follow the links to BrushPile Fishing and watch our episode #10 and many others. Russ is a wonderful host and I am sure we will be working together again in the future.

Continued blessings come my way in the form of great friendships extending into more awesome opportunities. I was asked to join "The Crappie Psychic" team earlier this year by owner and creator Clyde Folse. Clyde and I have so much in common, and working with a family based business has been a real connection like no other. Although I have connections with some great sponsors and larger corporations, the personal aspect of working with Clyde and his crew has made a major impact in my life. Not only do we have a phenomenal product, but we share the family values, honesty trust and respect that sometimes gets lost along the way with larger groups. As a team we have been blessed with great opportunities and continued growth. During the month of June we were selected as (1) of only (11) small business teams from over (400) submissions across the country to become part of a very large promotional campaign through Capital One. We competed in interviews and conference calls to make our way to the final cut. Traveled to Baton Rouge to meet a full film crew and production set from California and New York here to complete video and photo shoot for the commercial. It was quite the experience...lights, camera, action.....CUT! Our Video Commercial along with full page ads featured in newspaper, mags, etc. was just released days ago and is in circulation.

You can watch the commercial on online or find it on my facebook page.

Then next I was off to Florida to ICAST to help represent the NuCanoe Team! What a great experience ICAST ws in itself. Hooked up with many of my crappie friends who were also there. Talked to all the greats like Bill Dance, Jimmy Houston, etc. and viewed the latest and greatest product coming out for 2016. Made many new friends and helped NuCanoe present the Pursuit new for this year along with other members.

With all of this, and there is still more events to come before 2016 even gets here, I have had a full year! But we are not Done yet!

Coming for 2016: The BSCA (Bayou State Crappie Association) has big news. This is concerning (2 divisions) Lake D'Arbonne and Saline Larto Complex. Board of directors are being formed now for each division. There are going to be changes! Watch for the full announcement to come soon, and as always I am only a PM or phone call away if you have questions.

Other than this I am trying to keep my girls fishing and enjoying life! Had a few good runs, and some great memories!

Last but not least! I have a website, working to complete but you should check it out, lots of info there:

Brandon, great post. Thanks for keeping us up to date. Sounds like you had a great summer.I really enjoyed the fishing video with Russ. As you know we always have our CDC gathering in November, but I'm going to try to hit it in Spring to get in some of that shallow water fishing. That's is more to my liking than the deep water fishing of the Fall. Looking forward to seeing you at D'Arbonne.
