Very surprised that he didn't run idea through FCC as he is club member.
Maybe we could have set it up as "Last chance" tournament prior to Classic.
as an additional qualifyer. We presently have tournament on same date "Lake Tarpon" which is pull from
Jville and members from Lake Crescent area.
Also aware that Jeff does not like to work with PC all that much.

Mike,
Your esponse to launch site vs water covered, creeks, rivers etc was somewhat
out of charater for you. Sarcasium was not needed to make your point - same
as questions i asked, i believe were not out line.
I had not put in mind to who was putting on show. Over past few years,
have seen some dandy "screw ups" come by .
Like most all things in this world i have a choice:
Thanks
Harold
HArold it was not meant to be sarcastic at all and certainly not my intentions. Just trying to be clear that anyone is able to fish anywhere they want as long as they launch from city park and return at city park in time. This is all just what I relayed from Jeff. I believe his reasoning for not fishing Wednesday thru Saturday is his belief that alot will be coming from out of state to prefish for big tourney and wanted as level a playing field as possible for everyone. working, out of state etc.
Level playing field would and sounds great, although with some lakes in Florida,
expecially Crescent and possibily Talquin this could be difficult.
One way to control tournament would be to make it on invitation only - with
all rules and regulation posted with invitation at mailing.
Why Crappie USA has elected to hold tournament on November 28th (Thanksgiving
weekend) if totally beyond my thinking............
Someone in Marketing failed to have calender avail when making out schedule.
Actually Harold, That date was added when CUSA and Bunnell came to an agreement for the Super Event in January. Most tournaments, or at least CUSA or CrappieMasters only have a Classic in the Fall. I think having a tournament that late in the year is a pretty cool idea, kinda gets things ramped up for the 2016 tournaments in January. There are a lot of people like myself that are going to be on the water fishing most of Thanksgiving week anyway and to fish a tournament on a quality lake is like icing on the cake to me.. I have spent Thanksgiving on Talquin the last 7-8 years and will probably be there again this year, but I am looking forward to Friday and Saturday at Crescent.
Everyone got their invitation right here. Member or non member all are welcome to show and fish. Pretty simple. And like Tnt I will be fishing somewhere on Thanksgiving. Probably Monroe.
Mike, I owe you an apology for my thinking out of box to help or work with another
tournament on same day as one of schedule turnaments.
You are so correct - no one is oblagated to be loyal to a club if there is no strings
attached and with FCC there are none. Each and every tournament stands on its
own and is only loyal to "the classic" in terms of a team or person needing to make
5 tournaments to be eligible for Classic.
Thanks for update and explaination why it is on Thanksgiving weekend - it also shows
to be first on 2016 schedule.
Also have heard that Bunnell ponyied up more money than Crescent -hence it is
there for a second time.... To bad Crescent City spent all the money to have
class A parking & ramp facility put in, including covered shelter for weigh in,
including security & fencing.
Well it looks like I will have to back out of the tournament, my buddy from PA. is having a surprise 60th birthday party that weekend and I was asked to attend.
