Thinking about taking out a second mortgage and buying a new side imaging fish finder. Strongly considering the new HB Onix units. I see they come in an 8.4" and a 10.4" screen size. Looks like resolution is the same on both units (same pixel count). Anyone running an 8"? Will I kick myself for not getting the bigger 10" screen size? I am just looking for one unit to place on my steering console, not at the trolling motor seat. Looking at the units side by side at my local Cabelas they look very comparable....appreciate any feedback provided.

I have the Onix 8 for the exact reason you mention ... Pixel density is higher in the 8 ...
But I also have the 1197 right above it with the bigger screen for options ...(less need to run split screen on either unit)
If you're only having 1 unit at a certain station ...split screens benefit from larger screens ...(and you will be running split screens with 1 unit) ...
I agree with Redge ... Go big ...
