    OK I thought someone would drop a hint so I didn't have to show my ignorance but no one has, so.....Where the Sam Hill is Pick Hill. Never heard of it.

    on the broad river near Pinkneyvile S.C. probably don't have pinkneyville spelled right but that's where its at

    ever heard of 99 dam? pick hill is the pool 99 dam has backed up

    need more info? I am sure somebody else will have some for you sense I'm out

    Its not far from Smyrna SC. Has a small boat landing and a couple spots to fish from the bank. 99 Dam is on one side and Cherokee Falls on the other side of the back water.

    Don't feel bad Ray. I lived up that way for 65 years and thought I knew every cow track and mud puddle big enough to drop a worm in and I had never heard of Pick Hill. I ain't too old to learn.

    Countryboy, are you talking about that big area that's almost like a shallow lake? I haven't fished in there because it wasn't that deep, but I guess the crappie would like it better because it's not flowing like the main river. Thanks for the info

    Yes, I hadn't been down there in 10 years, but its not but 15 to 18 feet deep, if it hadn't changed. used to be full of crappie,
