    Default Wildlife - Unbelievable


    I am in awe. Just minutes ago I came bebopping out the door and this enormous barred owl was in the dog's kiddy pool. He was about 30 feet away and I stopped and said "well Hello" and he just stayed there. I came back in, got the camera, and got numerous pics while he played. Just can't believe what I saw.

    That was cool as all get out. We hear them hooting to each other at night in the trees, love the sound. They have been here for years, never this close though. I guess they have gotten use to us and wanted a bath in clean water instead of the river. A couple of years ago I shot a very large copperhead on the driveway. Brought in close to the house and nailed it to a tree. Less than a minute later one of those owls jerked it off and away he goes with it.
