Just for the record, that was Mr. Cromer's pet rod and reel that went overboard and it costs about what 3 or 4 of mine cost. I have lamented the loss ever since because in accordance with Murphy's Law they no longer make that rod and there is not one on Ebay either.

I musta slept through it cause it was not raining at my house at midnight or 7AM. Streets looked dry so it must have passed us by.

I'm out 378 at Hammock Bay. We had what my daddy used to call a "gully washer" Wednesday night. There were a bunch of small storms passing by. I guess we just got lucky.

Having a hurricane in Lexington about 7:30 this evening. Columbia is flooded out, trees down, 9000 without power. We surely need and appreciate the rain, but this is kind of tough.

Well the hurricane Thumper mentioned yesterday is back in Lexington tonight. It started raining around 4:30 PM and I mean cats and dogs and now at 6:30 it has slowed to a deluge. We needed rain, just hate to get it all at one time.

SeaRay...I was getting ready to ask you if you got a few drops of this hurricane that's been at my house for the last three hours. Got several inches last night and this afternoon so far. Looks like a little more might be on the way. We surely needed it. Maybe we'll get some more tomorrow. Hopefully we can get the lake levels up a few inches.
