Nice fishes. Looks like that one got a tad close to a softshell or baby gator. Amazing what nature can endure.

Last Sunday and it was a normal weekend day on the lake!Managed a few crappie and 13 slimers off 1 spot in about 30 mins. There was a wide array of water crafts from float planes, to yachts, to big ski boats, to small ski boats, to bass boats, to water knats, to crappie boats with us everyday laid back crappie feesermen!Covered a bunch of water spidering and happened up on a couple spots on the ole ff that I want to investigate the next time I go there. Here are a few pics.I did catch 1 crappie that had been attacked by some other predator and had half its lower section removed but was still feeding and the wound was totally healed. He was a survivor for sure! A couple of these pics are of the same fish!It was slow but I had a blast!

Looks like your mudhole is Butla. Are the fish biting fairly well down there? I haven't been fishing in Ms in two years
You know, even Jesus had a fishing story!![]()
The wife and I tried butla for the first time ever today. We were dragging crankbaits. What a sobering experience. Ain't alot of water in that lake. Seems to have a bumpy bottom. Go from 19' to 13' and back again in a quick second. 1 slimmer and short crappie.
Headed south in the morning.
I told the wife that when they draw butla down to winter pool it wouldn't make a decent mud puddle.
