    Default Kentucky Lake 7/30/15

Got a day off before I start short turnaround and decided to try it in spite of the northeast wind. Found a couple big aggressive schools early but they got tough a little after 9am. Wound up with 18 on ice before they shut down. These were suspended around wood in 23-24fow. Not a bad day for my last trip in July.

Nice dude. They moved out a little. I have been seeing an afternoon bite and had some really nice fish like you have there. Looks like 4 of those are pushing 2 pounds. Bet you are enjoying the shorter drive. You sliming up your new digs already!! Thanks for sharing.

Good catch. Is it best to look for fish suspended like these near the main channel this time of year?

Most of the bays with deep water hold some fish through the summer on into September. I am sure if a fellow knows where to look on the main lake he could find some better concentrations but I don't spend much time out there.

I was out on the secondary channels this morning and it is DEAD!!! Very little baitball action and even fewer crappie. Little bass, cats and yellows galore. Really disappointed since I thought this falling water would pull them out of the coves to the main lake. It may once everything settles down, then again it may not.
