Lake Nimrod / Loyd Millwood WMA off road ban ?
Just heard about a plan to ban ATV and off roading on Nimrod Lake / Loyd Millwood WMA which covers all the Corps lands around Lake Nimrod . Sure make hunting safer and should slow down the dog hunters chasing out through the woods this fall . Hope it is done and enforced .

Riding them through the woods in packs while folks trying to hunt ain't cool. But even worse is the damages the ones muddin are causing around the lake .Have you been out and seen trails around berms and gates ? The mud holes where they get so deep there are 1/2 dozen trails around them , they make a new trail every time the holes get too deep. This is one of the few places called a WMA where they could be rode. Some people abused it really bad just trying to tear it up . The day is coming soon when the only place to ride will be on private property . Sad but a few spoils it for everyone .

I jes messing with ya. And, I couldn't agree more. That picture was taken during a trip to Wolf Pen Gap last May. You wouldn't believe the trash people throw on those trails. There are trash recepticles over flowing here and there. People just pile there empty bottles and wrappers beside them. I am glad the trails are available. But, if I was running the show, I would be writing some citations. People were not even trying to hide their trashy deeds. DP

I think everyone would rather ride than walk all those miles but the abusers just keep on abusing and there isn't enough law enforcement to contain them . I am all for it on every WMA . I liked white river refuge a lot better before the 4 wheeler days . I would be all for game recovery with one as long as folks would follow the rules but that probably is asking to much for most folks.
