Dang Grady , Now the fish will have to wear sunglasses when you launch the ScooperCanoe. Looks good. Wonder if it will work on my old boat ?

I finally found a product to clean the grime off the toon. I'd tried wheel cleaner, didn't touch the stuff.
1st Here's a shot after 10 minutes of work
2nd This one shows some left over dark spots I did another spray down and now look at the next picture. It probably would have cleaned them if I'd waited the 3-5 minutes
3rd And a shot of the whole thing
Total time spent was about 20 minutes I didn't even wait the 3-5 minutes between spraying and rinsing. I didn't even have to use a scrub brush
here's the site, click on the pontoon cleaner Pontoon Cleaner, Aluminum Brightener, Acids, Degreasers, Socar Chemical
It works just like the video.
No I'm not a paid spokes person just a happy toon owner
Now to finish the rest of the boat.
Wear your sunglasses next time you fish near me. :-)

Looking good. Going to give you guys a little warning, you may already know this but some won't. Always wear safety glasses when working with that stuff, protect any glass like windshields of your car or truck when working with it even when rinsing. Get that on a windshield or side windows and it will ruin it. Very caustic and will burn your eyes and skin. Will absolutely eat up your depth finder screen. Great stuff for what it was intended for. And do like ScooperDude and rinse right after applying. If you let it sit very long it will streak the aluminum and then you have to break out the polish to even it up.

you gtter lookin good Grady== I see you have that plastic stuff on your bunks did the cleaner do any damage to it?
I need to clean the toons on the uss uncle remus 1
Fish tremble at the sound of my name
Robert, it didn't effect the plastic, the boat cover, the paint on the trailer at all. I did spend extra time washing between the toon and the bunk( I just flooded it with clean water). I rinsed everything 2x. I used about a gallon and a half of the mixed 1 to 4 water
The rain ran me off yesterday before I finished so I got it done today.
John and Ron, I don't think this stuff works on Fibreglass, maybe check the site they may have a miracle cure for that too
Both our boats are aluminum. Mine is so old it may not be worth it. But you have it going on there, looks nice. I got oxidation on mine, needs compound and a lot of elbow.![]()
Ron, I'd bet this stuff would fix the oxidation with no elbow grease. certainly worth the $30 for a try. You can do this on crutches :-)
Yeah boy! I love to work when I'm hurting. I can tell you guys love me too! John, just bring it on over anytime after the 11th Aug I'll jump right to it. I would prefer you leave all those long rods in the boat and some jigs too! I'll have to rinse the boat for you anyway. So I can keep those rods in shape for you while I'm out there on the water. No charge to a good friend like you!![]()
