    Default Saturday, Chick Lake

I have not been fishing a whole lot but Saturday I took my girlfriend and her kids out for a few hours. Between the 4 of us throwing jigs we landed somewhere around 13 crappie. Overall the fishing was pretty slow but everyone seemed to have a good time.

I had only fished this lake once before in July and with the surface water temp at 87 for the first time I saw waverunners and water skiers. (which surprised me as this lake has some dangerous shallow areas) Most were caught in water near 10' deep on the Money jig and Blue Ice. The lake was down about a foot from the level I am accustomed to. Neither Marisa nor Ryan wanted to hold the crappie but I got their mother to. I believe Marisa caught the one in the pic which was 14oz.

Good to from you George. Looks like fun. Kid time is cork time. I'll spring for the minnows if you will attach then under some floats and let the like scream when they disappear. Any inferior species?

Looks like you had a nice day on the water. Catching fish is just a bonus.

I had one bluegill and we had 2 pike get off next to the boat.
