Different process of electrolysis. One is galvanic the other acidic.

I don't use pennies. I use lithium grease spray on battery connections after cleaning terminals. I clean all my connections including fuses annually.

I have made this comment about battery terminal cleaning many times here. People can do what they wanna.

I usually just call it corrosion. Electrolysis is for removing hair.

I usually look at a green battery terminal and say: "it's corroded". I never say: "it is experiencing electrolysis".

I use a battery saver spray. Once I make a connection I just spray the terminal and don't have to worry about them. EB

Yep. This stuff works pretty good if you have a dry storage battery. It washes off with water. Also smells like cat pee.
