    Default Old School Virginia gillin

I say old school, because after it rained- I ran around my yard with a styrofoam cup and turned rocks and stones over, looking for worms. Got some funny looks from neighbors. I rigged two slip bobber rods to 4', put a red sickle 1/24th jighead on and headed to the mill pond. The bite was fast and furious with many fish to 8.5 and 9". All fish caught on brush in 8-10 FOW. Water temp was 84. Needless to say, I can't wait for dinner tonight. By the way, I liked watching my bobber swim away from me when I was 8 and I still like it several decades later!

WOW! I am impressed. That beautiful lake is a mill pond? So much for my vision of a puddle above a wood water wheel. lol I would be spending some time in a nice place like that. Those gills are above average too . Thanks for the neat pictures .
