    I have heard that the temp is hard to control on the propane models. Don't know as I have never had one, I started with an electric and never saw the need to change. I would get the 40" model if I were you, I can smoke a whole packer brisket by placing it diagonally on the rack.

    Get a Big Green Egg. I can set it and let it cook over charcoal all night while I'm in the bed. Once you figure it out you can change your temp by as little as 5 degrees. Over a real fire.
