Default Great day at the " VILLE",

Got up there around 6:30 a.m., beautiful morning, only two boats/ trailers' somewhere, parking lot, YEAHHHHHH. I went to the flats for nothing. No sign of any whites. The lake has come DOWN a whole LOT since last week. till running volumes of water. Put in at LP. Docks are high out of the water. Left around 3:00 pm. sky was getting real dark. Any way, I have NO complaints for today, two Crappie 11 1/2 inches see ruler, two 10 1/2, the rest legal plus size, two channel cats, and two whites caught by accident all were caught trolling crankbaits. 16 - 20 FTW 11 Crappie, 2-channel cats on a crankbaits' and two whites for a total of 15 samiches ! pictures enclosed

Great job and great report. Apparently the Little Platte Ramp is open now, after the holiday?

I went out to putz around the lake on Sunday night. Didn't fish....just tooled around. You can see how far the lake has dropped from the trees and foliage on the banks. They all have green tops, and the bottom 2' are brown. And then the water surface. Dropped a lot, but still a long way to go!! And after last night's storms well.....we'll see how that affects the river, the release and the lake level! Sheesh.

Good to hear fish can still be caught even in these circumstances. At least Smithville doesn't have all the floating flotsom and jetsom that we've seen in recent pics of LOZ and Table Rock.
