    Get the one that adjusts from 0-100%. I think it is called variable control. It is more adjustable than the model that has 4 or 5 speeds.

    The hand control maxxum 55 lb 12 v on my sled has several forward and reverse speeds but the foot control maxxum i had on my last boat was variable. I prefer the variable between the 2 cause the low speed i have now is just barely too fast.

    maximizer model is a much better deal
    Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.

    If I'm not mistaken the maximizer is a digital speed control and is infinitely variable and your battery will last a lot longer too. I didn't look it up before saying that so someone correct me if I'm wrong on that.
