    Default Lacassine Bayou 7/3/15


    My oldest son and me made a short trip this morning. We caught 4 sacs, a few bream, bass, and goggle eyes. Wasn't enough to clean so we threw them back. Caught on shiners and black and chartreuse jigs. Went north to start and water was muddy. Every brush pile had gars patrolling them so had to change tactics. Found clear water south of hwy 14. Fish were caught on lay downs 18in deep in 6 to 8 fow in the shade.

    Man those pictures are making me crazy here. Hoping to get my release Monday. I'm even looking forward to mowing grass. That doctor put me in a lens that should let me see down about 6' deep in muddy water. I'll wait a good while for the other eye. Can't stand more of this sitting around any time soon.

    Hey Mermentau the water looked good to the south. Those pics were taken near the rope swings. If I would of had them figured out sooner we should of caught a good mess. My son had to go to work that afternoon and we ran out of time.

    I'm going in front of the parole board (eye doc) at 3:00 tomorrow and with luck I could be there on Tuesday or Wednesday.
