    Default Chinese crank chart


    Anyone have any charts they have created for these baits? The upc255?

    Here is what I have found. Hope this helps.

    18ft - 6 ft deep
    30ft - 8 ft deep
    40ft - 9ft deep
    53ft - 13ft deep

    I have ran c55s/255s for several years now. I consistently get them ticking bottom in 18 feet of water with 100 feet of 10 pound mono. I paint my own and run both #4 hooks on them or #4 in back and #6 in front, depends on my mood. I always use a snap swivel on my cranks.

    Ok thanks. If others that use them can help we could have a good depth chart

    18ft - 6 ft deep
    30ft - 8 ft deep
    40ft - 9ft deep
    53ft - 13ft deep
    100ft - 18ft deep

    Hard to imagine that only 13' of line out changes the curve by 4' of depth from 40 to 53' of line out when 47' from 53' to 100' changes it only 5'.

    Well, it is a curve...that means that at longer lengths, the change will get less and less per foot of line out.... At some point, adding 100 foot of line will not make the bait go any deeper at all.

    I order mine from wlure. Thanks Reese. I got my oldest to paint her first one yesterday.

    She is gonna use it on her key chain

    I was aware that they will bottom out at some point, and that more line out after that can cause a reverse reaction by making the bait move up because of the bow and drag on the line, but 4' with only a 13' more line out is a bunch.
