Thread: gota fish one more pile....

well took the kids when they came home for Fathers day, it was HOT and they was more interested in beaching the boat and pic-nic'n and swimming than fishing...had a blast tho & managed 6 nice crappies (and a lota beer...lol!) me and a buddy went back this past monday, had to work a lil in the am so didnt get on the water till bout lunch and fished till almost dark- put in at Longwood and fished from Black Creek out to the mouth of Grassy...by 6 we only had 4 good fish, 10"-11"...probly fished 10-12 piles from 10 fow to 30 fow, bout half of em was marking ton of fish on em but what they was i couldnt tell ya, we couldnt boat one- some throw backs was all we could catch and some of the ones where we marked the most fish couldnt catch anything- missed several.. i dont know if its cause of all the hot weather we've had or what but the bite is as light as i ever seen it...just the slightest of a bump and bout half the time no bump at all, line just went to moving the other direction....heading back into Grassy tho hit one more pile and boom! one pile and 16 nice crappies 12"-14", and 2 nice white perch! never give up! lol! gona let the party crowd have it this weekend and try again next week.... water was nice & green, temps in the mid to upper 80's, we was throwing 1/16 oz pink heads with bobby garland blue ice and Fishdoc bucktails...

yea but if i wait till it cools off it'l be hunting season...
