Default Draglining for Crappie, putting the bait in their mouth

I been experimenting in high winds with one pole. That is all I could manage. I scouted around with the si/di and found more fish concentrated in the 15ft range, hugging bottom. Once I determined the fish were more plentiful in the 15ft depth, I eased out a rattletrap using a 6 foot pole equipped with the Okuma line counter reel. I knew from the "G" chart that I would should see the rattle trap with 2d aft. I had a 4 foot leader tied to a 3oz weight. The line you see on the graph is the rattletrap, not the weight. When the weight and rattletrap were in the 2d coverage, the line was thicker, not 2 separate lines on the graph ( weight and rattle trap) like what I expected. So, I concluded the rattle trap was not very far below the depth of the weight. The rattle trap was 2 1/2 inch 1/4 oz type. Speed was 1.5 to 1.7 mph.

    Here are some snapshots.
