Where can I go to keep my boat from dry rotting? Not a ramp open anywhere around here that I know about.
Plus, garden is shot, nothing to hunt, nothing much to do. Think I'm getting cabin fever in June....what's up with this????
So, what's everyone else doing this summer??? Or maybe you guys up north can get on your lakes? If so, where? Might have to trailer up your way ....

I agree but I haven't abandoned the forum, but for sure don't have anything to post about! Sunday was the first time I had been on the water since I can't remember when! I didn't do any crappie fishing, but did manage 2 stripers and 10 sandbass before we had engine trouble. On Keystone.
I do have a guide trip to texoma scheduled for July 20--I'm hoping that happens!
(big sigh) Oh well. Maybe good fall fishing coming up!
Haven't abandoned the forum, been reading everyday!! I think you could go fish the big E. or Kerr, Greenleaf is another option. Any of those I think are accessible in some way. XKiller should be ready for business in about 10 more days if they keep dumping the water like they have been. I went last weekend, it is really a pain, I only know of a couple of places to put in off the side of the road and it is tough because everyone is trying to put in there.
I figure about the time it gets hotter than you know what we will finally be able to go fishing!!
Squirrel hunting has been good this year and getting better.
Between cutting hay, work, garden and honey do's my schedule has been full. I have fished green leaf, did well on the crappie for never being there before. Was going to Kerr last weekend but my wife had another plans.

I swing by and read (if) any new posts once every day or so. I've been spending my time doing yardwork for our yard, my daughters and my daughter-in-law, rebuilding some privacy fence that was damaged during a recent storm and working in the garden. My onions did great this year and the tomatoes are coming along fine. I begin the day walking for an hour and half and then am outside till it begins to get too hot. Then, I come inside and have been reloading some ammo and tying flies for some planned stream fishing. In a couple of weeks I'm taking the family to Colorado for a planned trip. When I get back I plan to pitch a tent at the lower Mountain Fork for a couple of days. Hopefully, by labor day Eufaula may become enjoyable again. My wife has a quilt show down there then and we will pull the trailer out for a few days. If the lake isn't what I want then I think I'll just take off for the Buffalo River for a few days and let her have the trailer. I have been thinking of taking my tube to American Horse tho'.

WW who you using for your striper trip? Glad you got out to get your line tugged! Sorry you had engine trouble, did you get it fixed?

I have been fishing my watershed lake occasionally and catching a few. Last night I took a friend to my lake by Hinton and we caught a couple nice bass on a buzzbait and a topwater worm. The storm chased us out of the pasture and we drove thru a frog choker rain near Minco. Dr Nip and I are scheduled to take a trip on Friday to let him harass some black crappie and bass. Bream fishing has been good. Dats about the sum total of my fishing.

WW, I wouldn't bet on July 20. Texoma is supposed to be back to the top of the spillway by tomorrow morning. That give it about 20 days to get down to where there is even a ramp open. Currently going down about 1/2' per day and at 640 (spillway depth) it needs to get back down another 23' to get to normal pool. Suspect some ramps will be open before that but, don't know how low it has to get for that to happen.

Like your schedule Floyd! Well, not sure about the walk...I get enough exercise without that! I planted 208 onions this spring and my wife picked the last two this morning while I was digging potatoes, had three 5 gallon buckets and that's the end of the taters for this wet year.Wife also put up 5 qts of salsa with the pepers, tomatoes I grew and we are going to have a bumper crop of tomatoes even after the rain.
I have a good friend that lives on Mt Fork, first farm south of the Hwy 7 bridge on the west side.
Anyway, no fishing for me till something opens up down here.

No problems launching on the lake I fish in the city. Going back out tonight after work. Haven't posted much if any at the OK forum since all that drama here weeks ago. So sick of that crap. You can find me at the bait forum.
