    Default Slow Trolling Oconee 5/29/15

Kowboy and I slow trolled minnows on Oconee Monday. The water temperature was 80-82 degrees when we started at around 7:30 a.m. The bite was very good first thing and we had 10 keeper fish by 9:00. The fishing was tough as the sun got higher and we ended the day with 19 crappie and 4 catfish. I think we would have done better in the afternoon had the boat traffic not been so bad. The bite this time of year is usually hard to detect and constantly rocking up and down makes it even more difficult.
The water temperature was 86 when we finished the day. It was good to be back on the water.
