    hi all, just joined yesterday, im from central louisiana,,, been trying to catch a few crappie,,, for some reason couldnt find em during spawn, and have just been pickin up a few around stumps,, but they seem to have moved out to deeper water,,,any tips on how to locat and catch them since its warming up?

    useing shinners, have tried a jig , but obviously not doing it rt cant get them to touch it. caught these Saturday, but took a while and just couldint stay on them, Name:  white perch.jpg

    lol, the problem is , i dont really know how i caught them, just easing along zig zaging real slow with my trolling motor from stump line to deeper water and back and forth,, just happened to catch one ever 20 mints or so,, but could not figure out any rhyme or reason as to depth, of water, fishing depth, ect.,,,dont get me wrong very tickled i caught em,, just hopping to get advise on figuring them out,lol. im from just north of Alexandria, where some of u guys from?

    Congratulations on a great catch and welcome to the Louisiana forum. I am like several others; my advise might mess you up. I haven't caught that many in quite some time. LOL.
