Default Sacramento Perch at Lake Crowley

Fished LC for 2 days. Both days got blown off the lake by 11. Found out that SP like the Chub Bellyspinner.

What kind of fish are those? Not familiar with them, but they look like fun to catch and probably to eat.

Well I should have googled them before I asked. Never heard of them but I fish in Oregon for Salmon and Tuna, may have to give these a shot.

Thanks for the post. Learned something today.

Those are awesome! Look alot like a large version of my favorite.....rock bass / goggle-eye! Are these common in Western & California lakes? I gotta try for some next year if I make it out that way.

FA - they aren't widely dispersed out here. There is one lake north of Lake Crowley that has bigger SPs (might try to get up there this week - long haul). May & June would be the better time to go - interesting places to stay at, close to the lake.
og - they fight harder than crappie and have a tougher mouth, good thing because they like to hug the weeds. My buddy swears they eat better than any pan fish...
