    That scenario PLUS partners who thought helping on gas and such was beneath them, got me out of the bass tournament game years ago.

    Had a guy who is now well known on the BASS tournament trail direct me over a rockpile (before GPS mapping) that he swore was not there and destroyed a $400 prop. When we got to the weigh-in, he had a hot date and could even help me put my Skeeter on the trailer.

    The straw that broke the camel's back was when the new rig I was dying for became priced more than the house we lived in.

    Good partners are very hard to come by, don't really want one who don't have a boat themselves, boat owners have a little better understanding. My FJ partner and I do pretty dang good together and try to get it as close as we can, not fair for one to tote the load all the time.
