Thanks for trying to set this trip up. I do appreciate your planning. Keep the prizes and we can add to it and make it a bigger event. I do have a question for you. Is it fairly easy to catch stripers when you are fishing for crappie? I have a son who loves to striper fish and he wants to know if you can put him onto some over there? Thanks again!

YES KINDA BUT WHEN THE STRIPER COME IN THE SMALL CRAPPIE USELY SCAT
I NIGHT FISH FOR STRIPER JUST LIKE I DO CRAPPIE.
I LOOK FOR HUMPS IN OPEN DEEP WATER AND POINTS THAT RUN WAY OUT
I TRY TO SET UP IN 50 TO 60 FT WATER THROW CUT BAIT UP ON SHALLOW POINTS
AND DOWN LINE. START 25/35/45 FT
ALSO UNDER BRIDGES ARE GOOD FOR STRIPPER ,IN 80 FT IN THIS WEATHER

    I USE BLUEBACK .
IF YOU FREEZE YOUR BAIT ALIVE THEN CUT IT
IT SEEMS TO BLEED OUT SLOWER AND LAST LONGER .
I PUT OUT LIGHTS AND WAIT.

Hey, you guys can still go. It's your home lake. It's 2+ hours for a couple of us. 5 total driving time. If the fish aren't biting well enough to make the trip why was the time, gas and money. I want to play too! But it's a hard to commit to a long no fish trip.

Please Go! Don't let a couple of us spoil you weekend.

Once Labor Day is over we get the lake back to ourselves. Maybe think about that towards the next scheduled time. And dont rule out winter time nightstalking either. During the cold months (beginning in Jan.) once you find the fish you can count on 'em being there every night until something changes... and nothing does unless temps change the water temps drastically.
