    Default Loweance software update

A few months back I did a software update on my HDI-7 and I started noticing all my saved way point or missing for all the lakes I fish. Does this happen every time you do an update or was it just on this update. Can I save all my way points on an SD card if so how.

yes you need to save anything on it to a SD card then reset to default settings before updating, at least for HB, LOW probably about same, to save waypoints, should be in the way point menu, don't know LOW myself, but someone else will come along with more accurate info I'm just trying to point you in the right direction

It's always a good idea to back up your waypoints and settings to a memory card, luckily I have never lost any on my HDS units after an update.
I've never used an Elite 7 but from your waypoints page try this, menu, "select save to card", then "save".

Thanks for the info, I will input some of my known way points and try to do a save. That's what I get for being lazy and not reading up a little more on the operation of the unit. The good news is I have another excuse for my wife to go fishing now, I have to find all my lost way points.
