Yes Bob, I have a lot of guys here using jigs with no flash, just a painted head/Rayon Chenille/Feather tail. Silver/Blue/White I more clear water when you can see 3' down or more. If stained Chart/Blue/Chart also if can see about 3' down use chart one when really cloudy and other of sun is out.

I have not tried the other color combinations skip I've only used this white and chartreuse have been producing . I did tie up some white in pink and we do have some UV blue also in pink I like the bright pink and you the it seems to be a little bit brighter for some reason may be because of the die we have been fishing this jig really deep anywhere from 13 feet to 20 feet and catching fish but that depends on the time of day it seems like they're running shallower in the very early morning say about 8 foot. we tied up yesterday about 25 of these and plan on tying some more . Skip we are still using the Joker along with this. we have been fishing for about two hours before the sun comes up I haven't been going out in the late evenings too darn hot depends on where your fishing if you can get out of the sun you can stand it though may be still in the 90s.

I love using those types of jigs. Popeye jigs are a staple in my crappie fishing. Pushing, one pole, cork n jig, or my favorite is long lining these tipped with a minnow. Sometimes less is more. I catch more and bigger fish without the flash. Red head, red thread, and chartreuse feathers is another potent combo. Catch more gills with the white head, pink n white feathers.
Fishing is like pizza.......Even when it's not that good, it's still pretty good!
