Default Florida Fishing Report -- Lakeland

Just keep plugging away! Wayyyy better than staying home and sittin on the couch! LOL

Lost more than we landed today? Many came unbuttoned right at the boat??

Was using 1/32 jigs with curly tail and minnow, also using road runner type with grub and minnow, think maybe hook was too small ?? Water temp 81, cloudy, fish were scattered 6-8-and 10 feet, speed anywhere from .5 to .8 was working early. After 9:30 am we should have packed up and left.

Did overcast skies continue most of day. ? (stay with dark colors -blk/char)
(dk blue/pearl tails) (go to the slider style tail - less big action - tighter wiggle)
Sometimes speeding up will trigger the bite again
    Zig-zag method sometimes helps
Go the Weather Underground. com - Search Lakeland - review date (friday)
and check to see when bara. pressure peaked in am and started down - usually
Good explaination / pictures to back it up Marv.
    Thanks for report

should be around 10:45 - 11:30 - Pressure variance 1 milla bar - will sometimes
    shut them down.
Phosphate pits sometimes react differently than lakes due to depth and only spring
    water movement

    Hi Harold,

Yes, cloudy all the time we fished. Had both colors you suggested working, all tipped with minnows.

Just talked to a guy that was fishing same area, he told me they started hitting again at 11:30 am, they got 12 keepers, that's when I left, go figure??

One thing about fishing these pits, there sure isn't much weed growth at all, also have better luck, if I can find some wood on the bottom.
