Before I payed for boat I had dealer call war eagle they told him 7 to 8 weeks I told him I was fine with that so not dealers fault there adding 4 weeks on to that and I'm just now finding that out that's what makes me super mad cuz I just sold my boat think I'd have mine in a week from the day they said so now I'm boatless for a month
If she only knew how much a fish cost me
I would be bent too but once you get through the month and your boat gets delivered you will be fishing out of a very rig tin rig, one of the top in metal boats. hang tuff man, be here before long.

First of all the dealer should be able to get someone on the phone and give you info. Second you should not have to carry Team Wards business for them by paying full price up front. Next, when they say 8 weeks then it's still 4 weeks later you still have no boat. That's is ridiculous. Terrible business. Don't pay your light bill on time and see what happens. I would never do a purchase of this nature without a contract or goods received on payment. War Eagles are good boats. After fishing from a few there are many boats that compare on the market where you get customer service. I am sorry to hear of your experience. I would be at the plant with truck and receipt as soon as possible. They would at least show me my boat. These hulls are cookie cutter, the layouts are the only changes. It doesn't take but a couple weeks to finish layouts. Chances are they hadn't even started your boat when they told you 8 more weeks.

I personally have never owned one (or fished in one) but judging from the comments, the wait seems to be worth it. That said, I agree with others.
The dealer may have called them up front but, unless you are listening in on speaker phone, you really don't have any way of knowing if the dealer told you what they said, or what he thought you wanted to hear. I'm not sure about your friendship with the dealer and I may be out of line as I don't like to directly call someone a liar (that I don't know) but.....
The want of the boat isn't the question here. The question is the timing involved with what the "dealer" told you and what the "manufacturer" is now telling you. Sounds like conflicting stories. Regardless, I believe it is on the dealer. I cannot speak for you, but if I was in that situation I would take it up with my dealer. Get some service thrown in, a case of oil, rod holders, a discount... something.

I would be perturbed too. But I own an 860 and wouldn't trade it for a Ford with a hand choke. The boat you bought is more boat and stronger built than mine.
Tell'em I'll be there.
If I didn't have vertigo issues, I would still have my Predator. I now have a small flat deck barge with a handicap rail.

I feel your pain cause we went through basically the same thing. Mine was all on the dealer.
