    Default Night fishing rigs

What type of rigs do yall use night fishing? I've been using a drop shot rig. Had pretty good success during winter but wondering if I need to change it up. I've only caught a few since the weather has warmed up. This is my first spring/summer fishing for crappie

Same here, I use the smallest hook I can so the minnow swims as freely as it can.

I went to Harris last night. Got there about 9 pm and left a little after mid night. Started fishing in about 16 fow didn't get a bite. I moved around in the same cove found a spot in about 12 fow caught one crappie. After that started to catch white perch. Caught about a dozen of them all with minnows. I best the biggest one was close to 1 lbs. they were fun to catch just wish I was on the crappie. It turned out to be a fun night.

Split shot over a hook or drop shot they both work. Most important is to fish where crappies are. Some times we set up in 18 to 30 foot of water. Some times it's its a miss.

#5 split shot over #1 gold hook I fish in 15-30 fow use 5-6 rods start out all rods set at different depths from just off the bottom to 6' deep find the depth the crappie are at and start setting rest of rods at that depth, sometimes have to go up and down with depths, let the fish tell you where they are at.
Difference between day and night: Day= one rod, one jig/Night= Many rods & a bucket full of minners
