    Default 6/6/ and 6/7 Report

I got the chance to go Saturday after a couple of weeks of doing what had to be done. Started early Saturday and fished the lower end of woods looking for the summer pattern I have been waiting for, and still didn't find it. So I went up river a bit and found some in area's that have worked in past weeks and set back and watched the rods bend. Trolling 8 rods by myself proved to be too much to do and after a couple of monumental clusters I shipped the 2 - 7 footers and went with the remaining 6 without further incident. I went through a school of stripe and had 6 rods go down in just seconds with one crank having 2, one on each hook. Long lining was the way for the day and it worked good and was relaxing just watching everything ease on by. Finished Saturday about 12:30 with 13 being released for someone else to enjoy. Maybe you. Sunday was hot and busy for me and didn't get time until after dinner. Knowing that the wind was to be high and rain a maybe I hooked up and went for an hour and a half. Went right back to where I had done well Saturday and got right back into the groove. Thought I had a giant on but it turned out to be a milk jug with the top cut out I had gotten hung up in and it came loose when it came to the top. Weather was great and cooling, I hated to see the sun go away but I did stay til the sun turned the few clouds on the west horizon blood red. Absolutely beautiful. Normally I get a majority of whites but this day the blacks were on, and the strike was much harder. Finished the quick trip with 6 to my credit that were also released. Of the two days I got no monsters but also didn't get one crappie that wouldn't have measured for the live well. Felt great on the way home, having scratched the itch just right. Lots of stripe came and went but that's the way it is. Hope you get out, and watch the others when you go. Lots of weekenders. Thanks for the visit......Skeet.
