    LAMPE, Mo. -
A crash near Lampe, Missouri has left one man in serious condition. It happened at State Highway H and Backwoods Road, just after 5 p.m., Sunday afternoon.

Troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol say the driver of the SUV traveled off the road and overturned. The man was ejected from the vehicle but no one else was hurt. He was also towing a boat when the crash happened.

Crews spent more than half an hour cleaning up the mess from the crash.

We all have to remember when pulling our boats on narrow blacktops to keep all the wheels on the highway.

Little county roads without shoulders can be tough.

I've had the trailer go off the road before when there is no shoulder. Trick is not to freak out and rip the wheel left. just slow down and then get it back up on the road.

Ejected from the car is never good.

So true, I have had several trailers go off the road over the years when there was no shoulder. Its especially fun when its a gooseneck stock trailer. I have been very lucky so far. Some folks don't know how to share the road and take their part out of the middle. We all just have to remember take our time and adjust our speed to the road conditions and the type of trailer your pulling. Thank god I have never dropped our RV off the road yet!

Very seldom is the road the cause of a wreck. In a single vehicle wreck it's 99.9% inattention, went to sleep, or a bad decision by the driver.
