Thread: South of the boarder report

Took a little trip to SC to fish with the gang on Lake Wylie. It was a mad house at the ramp with all the wake makers and daytime fisherman coming off the lake and us nite stalkers trying to get on the water. It was not long till the waters calmed and the fishing, fun, bull, and perch jerking started. I guess all the crappie took cover from all the excitement and perch came alive. All of us did manage to catch a few crappie tho, with the biggest only a little over 1lb. Water temps around 80, we fished in water from 20'-30'. The bigger and most fish came from the deeper water, fishing 8'-15' deep, water temps were close to 80 deg, most fish caught on minnows with a few caught on jigs. If anyone ever gets a chance to go fishing with this gang down there, even if the crappie don't bite, it is worth the trip for the fun and fellowship

Thanks you guys for comin down and helpin thin the perch population with us. Hate the crappie didnt want to act right but after all the churnin and burnin all day they had to rest. We had a great time fightin the bugs and perch and just BULL Shootin anyway. Ya'll welcome anytime. Lookin forward to next time. See if ole newly is still kickin. We would even let him fish with us.
