Thread: 6/5/15 Cowan lake report

Took jeepy jr to Cowan today..... Started out catching gills on the beds..... Had great size and numbers..... Wax worm under a cork..... Gills quit about noon or so...... So we got the trolling rods and crank baits out and trolled for crappie. Bandit 200s , Berkeley flicker shad , and Arkie crappie cranks all put em in the boat...... Green or orange colors were the ticket..... 50 to 65 foot of line out at 1.5 mph...... Had roughly 30 small keeper size and multiple dinks......no picture worthy crappie but plenty of big gills.....
