Its probably been close to 40 years since my Dad has been fishing so I am driving down to take him out tomorrow. Have not idea what the fishing will be like but sure hope he enjoys it. Teckville will be the closest ramp from his house so we will be fishing somewhere in that vicinity. Never fished down that way so hope to find a few anyway. For anyone out there we will be in the 1648 War Eagle with the 25 yammy. Only had my Terrova I-pilot in the water once since I got it a couple weeks ago so looking forward to playing with that as well. Be sure to say hello if you are in the area.

The wind at Sardis tomorrow, according to ScoutLook Weather, calling for 3mph winds from NNE switching to NNW in the P.M. Water level this A.M. is 263, which is about 3 ft above normal pool on a slow rise. Wind shouldn't be a problem, but all the recent rain down there could be. Hope you and your Dad have a good day, and give us a report. GOOD LUCK!
We can definitely drive to another ramp if anyone thinks that would be better? Winds look to be pretty calm tomorrow and that was the main reason I was going because of my small boat. The few times I have put in it was at Engineers Point. I'm a little more familiar with that area so we might just head there
Catch fish or not, it will be a GREAT day cause you will be with your dad. A few in the boat will be a bonus. Go have some fun, Pard, and continue to make memories.
friend was down today and single pole fished. didn't do much good. said lake was up a foot or two since our last visit. not sure how much that hurt the bite or just that time of year where they're kind of in between.

Ended up having a great day with Dad. He only caught 2 dinks today but you would have thought he caught state record fish!! Enjoyed seeing him have a good time on the water. Fished from about 9 to 2 and ended up with 5 keepers, 15 or so throwbacks, and one LM bass. Caught a double with the LM and a small crappie....sure thought I had a whopper!!! Caught most all of the fish in 13-15 ft of water fishing about 10 ft deep. All but 2 fish were caught on Gnats tipped with minnows. Didn't seem to matter too much what color.
Glad you had a great day. Appreciate you taking your dad fishing. It has been 20 years since my father has gone on to be with the Lord. Now I can only fish with him in my mind. Make all the memories you can with him. I bet his smile was something to see.
