Question Bass Tracker 2005 ProCrappie 175 Questions??

Anyone know what size fuel tank is on a 2005 Tracker ProCrappie 175 with 50HP Mercury 2 stroke?
Anyone know why the bulb wont prime on the fuel line? I replaced the line, bulb and fittings and still no luck getting it to prime up.

The one on my Pro Team 165 was 12 gallons and they used that same tank in a bunch of models so that would be my guess.
I lost a 6 pack of beer on priming a new bulb and fuel line so I am letting you off cheap. I put a new one on mine and I tried every way to Sunday to get it to prime. Gave up and called my mechanic. He laughed and said stand up on the back of your boat and hold the line as straight up as you can and pump it. Took about 5 or 6 pumps and it was firm.
There is a backflow stop in the bulb which prevents gas from leaking back into tank and when the line and pump are completely dry as they are when new the valve has trouble seating unless the bulb is held vertical until gas flows through, then it seals and you are good to go.
I did not believe it and told him so, which is how I lost the 6 pack.

    Default prime bulb

As Gomer Pyle would say it "Thank Ya,Thank Ya,Thank Ya" it worked.
I thought the filter on the line in the tank might have been floating up and sucking air or sucking air from somewhere. I was sure hoping NOT to have to pull the tank as its a real PAIN as I have done it on this boat before.
As far as the tank size goes I Guess I'll call Tracker tomorrow with the hull numbers and hope they can give me a definite answer.

    Thank You Sir,
    Floyd

I saw SeaRays post about this a couple of years ago. Had replaced my bulb and line and was about to tear up some stuff. Tried it and it worked right off. I'm like you Thank you Thank you SeaRay.

SeaRay I called Tracker today about the fuel capacity and they said it is 11 gal. by looking up the hull I.D.#.I'm considering running some Seafoam through it is why I needed to know. Its ratio is 1oz per gallon. The boat set up for a couple years so I figured it might need it.I hope its just not another gimmick.

I use Seafoam also, but the ratio is not critical. They say a bottle does a wide spread of gallons depending on how severe the problem is. I just put a whole can in the "new old" boat I bought.(1999 Duracraft stick steer with 40 Yamaha 2 stroke) It had been sitting over a year. It has a removable 11 gallon tank. Motor runs good but needs to have carbon cleaned out and I may need to put new plugs in it.
I run Seafoam through our cars occasionally as well.
