Default Fishing with Boondock Boy LOZ 5-26-2015

My good friend Brandon Young and I tried our luck on the Gravios Arm. Trolled Cranks awhile before dark with zero luck. Did the night bite and pulled two eater size limits, but had to go through the IBCC to get 30. Fished minnows around brush in 25 fow, the fish were 12 to 20 feet down. Good time for sure! Now I have never hunted a day in my life but for you bow n' arrow shootin, gunslingers make sure you check out Brandon and the rest of the Boondock Boys on Hunt Channel TV and Facebook.

Good job. Always better with a friend or two involved.

    Nice!
Just got to the lake this evening.
Have watched your post the last few years about night fishing.

What are you considering the night bite?
Are you going out as soon as it's dark or are you going out like at midnight?
    Are just fishing all night?

I usually troll a little bit before dark or at least make a run where I want to fish, then night bite after dark. Sometimes I fish for a little while and sometimes I stay longer just depends what I have going on the next day. I remember crappiejoe12 and I got to talking, lost track of time and watched the sun come up on the way home...that was a rough next day. Few common sense tips for the night bite that are more important than catching fish.....always have your cell phone, GPS is handy, wear your life jacket under power, slow down when running, have a spotlight to signal other boats when your battery dies (personal experience on that) and have some sort of personal protection you never know who's at the boat ramp at 1 a.m.

That night fishing not too bad when you have a ball game to listen to. As always it looks like you caught some nice ones, congrats.

Went out after I posted last night.
Stayed out till a little after midnight.
All I had for a light was my lighter and cell phone.. Was really unprepared for a last minute whim.

Did notice they were a little more aggressive and a suspending a lot higher over the brush.
All I had was jigs and did ok I thought.
6 keepers and a ton of shorts.

Was fun and just needed to give it a try.
I was by myself so didn't run to far.
Stayed within a cove or two from the condo.

The fish are more aggressive and do suspend. They fight harder I think especially at the boat
