    Default Need a Used Freezer


    For storing bags of ice. Bought a commercial ice maker and instead of running it while I'm gone from the lake, I'm wanting to bag and save the ice in a freezer so I can turn the ice maker off. The ice maker makes up to 300 lbs of ice a day and has a 110 lb bin on it. Problem is the ice bin isn't very well insulated and doesn't freeze. The ice is made to use in these things, not store it for long periods of time.

    Looking for a deal so if you know anyone wanting to get rid of a working freezer, give me a shout. FREE ice for my friends by the way.

    Sams usually has the best price for new ones unless they are on sale elsewhere. Use this list to compare prices for new and used.

    agreed. SAMS or COSTCO or better yet craigslist. Of course buying use always carries a little more risk. also check out the hardware stores like LOWES. i got a stand up floor model like $100 off because it had a couple small dents in it.

    The home improvement centers do give a good percent off on display units. You never know when they will be changing them out so it's almost a daily trip to check.
    I would buy new, not used. A simple move from one side of a room to another can upset the oil in the compressor. Tilting a used compressor to much is worse.
