Thread: 5/25 Jon Redmond Report

Went and checked out JRR today. As you can guess lake is super high and still rising. Down below I didn't fish too long. Dumping 2500 cfs which looked like a lot more than I remember. Caught a drum. Some folks trying for crappie with a bobber along the wall but I think flow is too high. Also a boat had pulled up in there and they were casting probably for white bass. A few channel cat and drum being caught. I tried to fish some flooded ditches on FHNWR as well, but its hard to get to decent places with water over all the roads.

I am hoping we don't get much more rain tonight.

I went yesterday and there were a ton of people fishing on the wall fence. Went below to cast some jigs. Friend caught a 3" white bass and i got a gar. You can see a lot of gar swimming around. Walked back to the car and heard flopping in the back of a truck. thought they were catfish but the guy said it was all carp. Looked in and he had 5 decent sized carp. He said fishing was tough for everyone
