    Default Tickfaw/Natalbany River 5/23 Report

My son and me went this morning kind of late and got stuck in the heat . Lol We caught a bunch of small ones and kept 14 . Mainly on deep water lay downs in the shade off of black n Chartreuse sliders and white n chartreuse curly tail jigs . Water is still muddy but looking better .Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1432413368.917595.jpg

Thanks ! Forgot to mention we saw a big sow big and a few little ones laying right on side the river . They got up and left and after closer inspection , noticed she had a big nest about 2' out of the water . First nest and first pigs I've ever seen out in the deep water like that .

Great report. Wish you would have pictured the pigs. Rain didn't have the water messed up?

Thanks guys ! "D" , the water is muddy all the way down the river but it's at its normal level now and looks a little bit better towards the lake . We are going back this morning to try to catch a few more . We might get some close up pics of the big sow in the boat with us . Lol if not I'll get some pics of her nest for sure .

Well , we chased pigs around for a couple hours this morning . They were too little to shoot and couldn't get a good shot on the big pig . She had about 6 solid black ones and 2 lil stripe ones . It's hard running through that swamp bare footed . Lol

The fish were shut down with that strong southeast wind . We ended up catching 5 keeper sacs , a nice lil bass and 1 goggleye . Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1432487418.089227.jpg

Here's the pig nest . Didn't get any pics of the pigs because we were trying to catch them . Maybe next time we'll have more than flip flops on . Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1432487585.302606.jpg
