Well, the Gray Ghost struck again. This time in Caney Lake using my new Sam Heaton Super Sensitive 11ft jig pole. I live 17 miles from Caney and drove 100 miles to get there. LOL. Let me explain.
I left the house at 5:30 and arrived at Black Lake at 6:30 only to find the lake so high that the boat launches were closed. So, I headed back to the house trying to think of a way to salvage the day. I got out my map (yes, I am old-fashioned) and found short-cut to Caney. I arrived at Caney about 7:30, got the boat in the water and started hunting. I didn't really mind the drive too much. I got to listen to a lot of good Southern Gospel music and watch God wake up His creation.
I found my fish, all six of them, on boat houses in 10-12 feet of water. My smallest fish was 11 inches and my biggest was 15 inches and weighed 1lb 7oz. All of the fish were victims of the Gray Ghost fished about 7 feet deep.
It was a wonderful day. Thank You, Lord Jesus.
